Yousafzai Class update

Year 6 were lucky to go on a school trip this week to Gresham’s school where they completed some Crucial Crew Training. The children went round in groups to complete some activities based on mental health, wellbeing and safety. It was lots of fun! We have been learning about music this week and what dynamics, timbre, duration and tempo of music are. We practised with musical instruments and composed our own pieces showing off the different features. We looked at music from Hairspray the musical which showed social injustices. We had our try at performing this by using good tune and diction. In maths, we have finished multiplying 4-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers using a formal method. Our confidence in this has grown over the last week; well done Malala Class. In English, the children have been editing their short independent write (which was a section of our biographies on Martin Luther King). There was some great writing! Overall, we have had a great half-term and it’s been my pleasure to have joined in on the fun and learning! Enjoy half-term and I can’t wait to see you all soon rejuvenated!
