What a jam-packed week! In maths, we’ve been recapping how to find the area and perimeter of shapes. We’ve learnt how to find the area of any rectangle. In English, we’ve been writing and performing speeches as a class; some of them are very emotive! We’ve been focussing on accurate use of punctuation. We’ve begun our Design and Technology unit: making and creating a chocolate-inspired creation; as we learnt that the Mayans were one of the first civilisations to use cacao beans. The highlight of the week, has to be our Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) trip to Greshams. We put together our scientific, computing and art knowledge to compete against other schools. We participated in a rocket-making activity, designing boats and also completing levels on a VR headset. We had such a great time and it was a lovely way to end our week.
