Yousafzai Class update

A fantastic last week before Christmas in Yousafzai class! We have been busy with our project of making Christmas inspired pom poms all week, but we’ve finished them! The children had great fun designing their pom poms with felt after they’d created the actual pom pom itself. In English, we have been performing the poem: ‘Talking Turkeys’ by Benjamin Zephaniah. We have also used his idea to create our own rhyming poem about, Talking Trees (and why we shouldn’t cut these down at Christmas time). In maths, we’ve finished learning about how to divide fractions by any integer as well as consolidating our knowledge of finding fractions of amounts. On Monday, we all participated in a science day where we learnt about gravity, water resistance and air resistance. It was lots of fun. I wish everyone a very merry Christmas and look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year. Merry Christmas Year 6!
