What an exciting week we have had. In English we have looked at writing biographies where we we began by looking at a biography of Martin Luther King Jr’s life. In maths we have continued to solidify our understanding of addition and subtraction. In Topic we have investigated the impact of different ways of protesting; through speeches, through the internet; and through art and poetry. We made our own programs using scratch coding which were designed to help evoke change. The highlight of the week has been a visit from local graffiti artist Knapple, who came to our school and painted a mural with the slogan “Together we are better”. The mural was made up of elements of designs created by the children. I think you can agree, it is beautiful.
