We have had a lovely week in Hogwarts Class! In Maths, we have been practising our times tables every morning and recapping money, column subtraction and using hundredths. We have continued learning about The Battle of Britain in our English, Reading & Thinking, and Topic lessons. In English, we have completed a narrative writing, based on the story ‘Little Ships’. We have continued this theme by reading ‘Goodnight Mr Tom’ in Reading & Thinking and moved into looking at War Planes in Topic. The children have been asking some really thoughtful questions around The Battle of Britain and I am really impressed with their understanding and ability to retrieve knowledge about the topic.
