Pankhurst Class update

We have had a very busy last week of term. Some of the children braved the cold weather to take a bikeability course which is designed to give them the skills and confidence to ride on roads. They all passed with flying colours. In maths we have started to calculate the area of rectangles and compound shapes. In science we have investigated how light travels in straight lines. We even made periscopes! We have also studied R.E. As we are approaching Easter we have looked at Christianity and what the resurrection of Jesus means for Christians. Earlier in the week we had a visit from Norfolk Music who performed music from around the world; the children even got the chance to join in. The highlight, however, was our authentic outcome on Thursday when the pupils sacrificed their time by preparing and serving a Mexican themed buffet. I wish all of Year 5 a restful Easter break.
