Welcome to Rowan Tree Class
We are Rowan Class, made up of 18 kind, curious and charismatic characters. We are taught by Miss Davenport, who is being supported by Mrs Isbell and Mrs Gray. When we were discussing our class rules, we highlighted the importance of helping each other, and taking care of everyone (including the teachers!). We will be learning about the Victorians this term, developing our skills as historians and learning about what it means to grow up in the Victorian times.
What are we learning about this term?
This term our topic is 'Victorian Visions', wherein our class will be transported back in time to a very different era. We will develop our knowledge and understanding of this by delving deep into the everyday experiences of a Victorian child, the difference between the rich and the poor, workhouses, factories, the impact of the industrial revolution, and much more! In Art, we will be learning how to print like William Morris, and discussing how printing changed communication in Victorian Britain.

I like school because our classroom is big. I like learning maths. I have lots of friends and I have fun.

I like school because I learn. I am enjoying improving my English. I like teaching Miss Clarke maths. I also love art. We have the biggest class which means we can lots of fun.
