Royal Albert Hall Trip

March 2019

Thanks to the BLUESPARK FOUNDATION, a trip to the Royal Albert Hall is able to go ahead. They have kindly accepted our application to pay for our coach (£920) to enable us to travel to London and back. This wonderful trip will take place on the 22nd March for children in years 3 and 4. The Royal Albert Hall is a beautiful concert venue in London and we shall be watching the show ‘Classical Spectacular’, which mixes live classical music with lasers, fireworks and cannons. The children are very excited. Check the website and newsletters for pictures of this amazing trip!

April 2018 £10,000 National Lottery funding

In April we welcomed Norman Lamb to come and open our new play equipment.  The children were very excited to see the climbing area officially opened and the school council were the first to try it out.

This is another phase to our development of the outdoor area and we aim to apply for further funding to support us in the future.

The outdoor equipment encourages our pupils to be curious about their environment and to work together collaboratively which are two of our JONK learning behaviours. It also promotes a healthy lifestyle through exercise and provides an opportunity for pupils to challenge themselves by balancing, swinging and climbing.

March 2017 Woodland Trust Planting at Mundesley Infant and Junior School

Thank you to the Woodland Trust for donating 480 saplings. The children at MIS and MJS have planted a hedge at the bottom of the field and have created a better habitat to encourage wildlife. This has given us the opportunity to learn about habitats and what plants need to grow along with a greater understanding of the environment around us.

March 2016 Barclays Family support room

BARCLAYS very kindly donated 25 Norwich vs Sunderland football tickets 20 were put into a raffle and 5 were open to parents to bid for. The money raised was used to renovate the old kiln room and create a family support room. This is a fantastic space which is used by the Family Support Team for meetings with families and also for THRIVE which helps support pupils who may be experiencing emotional or social issues. This room creates a safe space for these pupils to be supported therapeutically.
