This week, we took our maths learning into the church and combined it with our RE work on Christianity. First, the children had to label the key features of the building, like the aisle, the pews and the pulpit. Then they had to guide each other from one point to another using language such as ‘turn clockwise 90 degrees.’ They used the Beebots to program in an algorithm and tried hard to reach their destination in as few attempts as possible! Most of the instructions had to be ‘debugged’ many times once they had worked out how far it moved each time. Thank you to Reverend Andrew for allowing us to use the building; it was a really fun way to learn.
